Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ResumeFry ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ResumeFry provides AI-powered resume analysis and optimization. You submit your resume (as pasted text or as an uploaded PDF or DOCX file, up to 10 MB) together with a job description, and our AI compares them to produce a structured analysis including a match score, skill gap report, missing-keyword list, ATS compatibility checks, rewrite suggestions, interview preparation, and a tailored cover letter.

The Service is provided "as is" and analysis results are generated by AI. They should be used as guidance, not as definitive career, employment, immigration, or legal advice.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account, and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and the device you use to access it. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. ResumeFry is not intended for or directed at minors.
• One account per person; shared accounts and credential sharing are not permitted.
• You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Plans, Payments, and Refunds

ResumeFry offers both free and paid plans:

• Free plan: A small number of one-time free analyses with the same full feature set as Pro.
• Pro plan: A higher monthly analysis quota and priority processing.
• Credit packs: Optional one-time purchases of additional analysis credits, available to Pro subscribers.

Billing. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually, in advance, by our payment processor Stripe. By subscribing you authorize us to charge your chosen payment method for the recurring subscription fee and any applicable taxes. Card data is collected and stored by Stripe; we never see or store your full payment instrument.

Cancellation. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or via the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not end your current billing period — you keep full Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and your account then downgrades to the free tier automatically. We do not prorate or refund unused days within a billing period.

Taxes. Listed prices may not include taxes, duties, or other government charges. Where required by law, the applicable taxes will be added at checkout and you are responsible for paying them.

Price changes. We may change our prices, plan structure, or available features at any time. We will give you reasonable advance notice of any price increase that affects your subscription. Continued use after a price change takes effect is considered acceptance of the new price.

Refunds. Subscription fees and credit-pack purchases are non-refundable. Because the free tier lets you try every feature of ResumeFry with no credit card before subscribing, we encourage you to test the Service first. We do not refund partially used billing periods. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable refund rights you may have under your local consumer protection laws.

Credits and consumables. Analysis credits and credit packs are one-time purchases. They are non-transferable, have no cash value, and never expire — they remain available to you even after your Pro subscription is canceled, for as long as your account exists. Unused credits are forfeited only if your account is deleted or terminated.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Submit content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service
• Use automated tools to access the Service beyond normal usage
• Resell or redistribute analysis results commercially without permission

6. Intellectual Property and Your Submissions

Our content. The ResumeFry platform — including its user interface, design, branding, code, AI prompts, and the structure of analysis results — is owned by ResumeFry and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse engineer any part of the Service except as expressly permitted by these Terms or by applicable law.

Your resumes and job descriptions. You retain ownership of any resume text, resume file (PDF or DOCX), and job description text you submit. By submitting these materials, you represent that you have the right to submit them and you grant ResumeFry a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, and process them — including by sending them to our AI processing service and storing uploaded resume files in our cloud storage — solely for the purpose of generating, delivering, securing, debugging, and improving your analysis. You also agree that we may use de-identified or aggregated data derived from submissions to evaluate and improve the Service.

Analysis results. The analysis results, rewrite suggestions, optimized resume text, and cover letters we generate for you are licensed to you for your own personal and professional use. You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit these outputs without our written permission.

What you may not submit. You agree not to submit content that contains sensitive personal data about other people, confidential or trade-secret information you are not authorized to share, or content that infringes any third party's rights. You are solely responsible for the content you submit, including the contents of any resume file you upload.

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

ResumeFry uses large language models to analyze resumes and job descriptions. AI output is generated automatically and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, hallucinations, or biases. Analyses, match scores, ATS pass probabilities, rewrite suggestions, salary signals, and cover letters are provided for informational purposes only and are not legal, financial, employment, immigration, or career advice. You should not rely on an analysis as the sole basis for any important decision. If you need professional advice, consult a qualified professional.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RESUMEFRY DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING OUT OF COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT ANALYSIS RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR RELIABLE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL RESUMEFRY, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR SUB-PROCESSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION — ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO RESUMEFRY IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD 100).

ResumeFry is not responsible for employment outcomes, hiring decisions, interview results, immigration outcomes, or any other career consequences influenced by analyses generated by the Service. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages, in which case some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ResumeFry and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and sub-processors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your use or misuse of the Service; (b) the content you submit, including any resume file or claim that it infringes a third party's rights; (c) your breach of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

11. Service Modifications and Interruptions

We are constantly improving ResumeFry and may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, with or without notice. We may also need to perform maintenance, deploy fixes, or respond to security incidents, which can cause temporary downtime, delays, or errors. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available or that any specific feature will be supported indefinitely, and we will not be liable to you for any loss arising from modifications, interruptions, or discontinuance of the Service.

12. Termination

By you. You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from Account Settings. Account deletion is soft for 30 days (so you can change your mind by logging back in) and then permanently purges your account and associated data, subject to the retention obligations described in our Privacy Policy.

By us. We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, abused the Service, created risk or legal exposure for us or our users, or otherwise engaged in conduct that is harmful to ResumeFry or its community. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately, but the sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) will continue to apply.

13. Electronic Communications and Notices

By creating an account, you consent to receive electronic communications from us, including transactional emails (such as login codes, billing notices, security alerts, and account updates) and notices about changes to these Terms or to our Privacy Policy. You agree that any agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications we provide electronically satisfy any legal requirement that they be in writing.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which ResumeFry is established, without regard to its conflict of law rules.

Informal resolution first. Before filing any formal claim, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] and try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days.

Exclusive jurisdiction. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you and ResumeFry agree that any unresolved dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at the place where ResumeFry is established, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence give you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.

No class actions. To the extent permitted by law, you and ResumeFry agree that any dispute will be resolved on an individual basis only and not as part of any class, consolidated, or representative action.

15. Hosting & Infrastructure

ResumeFry is hosted on infrastructure provided by Hetzner Online GmbH in the European Union, and uploaded resume files are stored in Cloudflare R2. By using the Service you acknowledge that the availability and operation of the Service depend in part on these providers and that their terms apply to the underlying hosting and storage layers. 16. Miscellaneous

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ResumeFry regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that right or provision.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, or by operation of law.

Force majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms when such failure or delay is caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action, labor disputes, internet or power outages, denial-of-service attacks, or failures of third-party services or infrastructure.

No agency. Nothing in these Terms creates any agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship between you and ResumeFry.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will notify you by email or with a prominent in-app notice before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms; if you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.
